Weatherproofing
Weatherproofing is an important consideration because balcony brackets have to penetrate the façade and connect back to the main slab.
There are a number of different ways of achieving waterproofed solutions. To assist, we can provide a composite sleeve (with excellent thermal properties) to shroud the arm or can use web infills to fill the voids and give an easier surface to weatherproof against.
Many clients choose to weatherproof around the arm at the point of façade penetration however, it has also been achieved at the point of the thermal break within the cavity.
